We left Costa del sol today after a couple days of relaxation. We drove to Gibraltar, parked and walked across the border. We took a bus to the cable car and rode the cable car to the top of the “Rock”.
Does anyone know how high the rock is? 412 meters!
Which is the highest? The Empire state building? The Eiffel tower? Or the Rock of Gibraltar?
Yes the Rock of Gibraltar!
I was really looking forward to Gibraltar and it ended up being more impressive than I imagined. The views were incredible and the apes that are native on the rock were interesting to watch. One of the apes took a liking to Nicole!
After Gibraltar we headed to the Malaga airport to fly to Barcelona.
We arrived late in Barcelona , so only had time to go to dinner. We headed to a restaurant that the concierge recommended. The concierge described it as an international restaurant. It definitely had more of an oriental feel to me. There was oriental music playing, along with separate little cabana rooms for couples to go and have dinner with the option to pull their curtain for privacy. There was also a big private room where a whole bunch of guys headed. There were lots of drinks delivered along with some “massage therapists”. Not the typical things you see in a restaurant in the USA.
Since we ended up spending more time in costa del sol than originally planned so we will have a busy day tomorrow seeing all the sights of Barcelona.
Buenas noches. Dulces sueños
